Sage Galati (b. 2003) is a mixed media artist based in New York, working with experimental sound design, experimental film, sound art, projection mapping/design, and animation.
A recent graduate of Binghamton University, Galati earned her B.A in Cinema, graduating Cum Laude and receiving High Honors from the Cinema Department for her mixed media senior thesis installation, The Last Pool.
Galati’s experimental practice pushes the boundaries of cinema, sound, and installation, inviting viewers into immersive spaces of memory, emotion, and transformation. Her work is deeply personal, often taking experiences from her personal life and turning them into art.
Galati has contributed to projects such as Ballet Mechanique Reimagined, a cross-department multimedia art exhibit at Binghamton University in 2023. She also worked with two other cinema students on the Binghamton University Department of Music Opera Workshop in 2024 creating the set design for Nanita Learned to Make Flan using animation and projection. Galati also worked as an undergraduate teaching assistant for Professor Monteith McCullom for CINE 253 Intro to Creative Sound Processes and CINE 352 Performative Processes.
