Is it Wrong?, 2025

Is it Wrong?, 2025

Is it Wrong? was a collaborative group project for ARTS 336 Doing it Wrong on Purpose at Binghamton University. In a group of five students, Galati and her colleagues created an interactive experience that focused on the ideas of surveillance and being watched. Galati and her group wanted to play on the idea that us consumers are constantly giving away our information without even knowing it. We blindly accept “terms of agreement” without even reading any of the information. This piece was “performed” at HCS Center for the Arts in Vestal, NY.

In fall of 2024, Galati was asked to participate in an independent study through the Binghamton University Cinema Department to work with two other cinema students to create the backdrops and set design for the Binghamton University Music Department Opera Workshops production of Nanita Learned to Make Flan. Galati and her peers designed animated backgrounds that were then projected by Galati, through Isadora, live during the performance.

Ballet Mecanique Reimagined was a cross-department collaboration between the Cinema, Dance, and Music departments at Binghamton University. Galati was apart of CINE 352 Performative Processes where she helped provide the live soundtrack for the dancers. Galati played the violin as well as the synth. Galati also helped create an installation that was installed in the entrance of the space that included old monitors and video cameras. This event took place at Spool Contemporary Art Space in Johnson City.
